Francesca Residence has been a home for the Independent Living since 1973 and our Sisters are happy and blessed to continue their dedication to the physical and spiritual care of women and men in the new millennium.
We are Daughters of Divine Charity, a Catholic international pontifical congregation of women founded in 1868.

Katarina Zefic - Admissions
Katarina comes from Europe and lived in a town called Binq until 9 years old, then came to the US. She grew up with the daughters of Divine Charity where our sisters are in St Anthony's church. Seven miles from there is a town called Letnica, a Croatian town in the mountains where the Black Madonna Statue, carved from blackened wood It is believed to have been created more than 400 years ago, in the style of Michelangelo, people witnessed the statue having tears while many insist they have experienced miracles. In 1928, Saint Mother Theresa said she was called by God to begin her charity mission in Letnica. Saint Mother Theresa also happened to be Albanian, like Katarina.
